Gay Gordons Edinburgh

The LGBTQI Scottish Country Dance Group

IN the beginning
IN THE BEGINNING

The Gay Gordons Edinburgh is a not-for-profit, community-run Scottish Country dance group that started in 2009.

Gay Gordons groups in London and Manchester have existed for a few years already. They have many members and have weekly evening dance sessions all year round, so it is fitting that Scotland has its own LGBTQI Scottish Country dance group - Gay Gordons Edinburgh.

All ages and levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to experienced Scottish Country dancers. We plan to have a series of ceilidh focused dance classes in 2012 to encourage new members and to lead up to our Winter Ceilidh event on 1st December 2012.

Come and experience the fun and laughter of Scottish Country dancing. Our approach aligns with that of Gay Gordons London - we offer a warm welcome to everyone. All we ask is that if you come to one of our classes, you are happy to dance with everyone, be it man with man, woman with woman, or man with woman.

COST  -    You can join for the whole term or turn up any Monday and pay on the door - £4.00 per session for non members and a slightly reduced rate for members (first class is free).

WHERE  -  Salisbury Church Hall, Mayfield, Edinburgh, EH9 2NG
